From the cover: Carmel’s Parrot
Tuk, from the Tibetan word Tulku, means return spirit. And Tuk is the return spirit of Peterson Conway’s last parrot. You can find Tuk when he with Peterson at his Conway of Asia store in Pacific Grove on Forest Avenue opposite Trader Joe’s. Tuk has put a smile on countless kids and adult kids over time, and would be happy to bring a smile to you if you can pay him a visit sometime. The cover photo was taken when the store was in Carmel down the street from the La Bicyclette restaurant (another great stop).
I hope you have enjoyed the images here, especially as they come to life. It will be fun to see how people of all ages interact with this new way of looking at nature all around us. Thanks to all who have been a part of this book, including those whose quotes throughout the book have inspired me and now may leave an impression on you.
